This is our most popular cartridge as the independently sprung free-swinging blades have a staggered layout for maximum efficiency and are of a ‘waisted’ design so they keep their edge for longer and continue to provide fantastic performance.

Please note: The design of the LS42 Scarifier changed in 2020 so it's important that when ordering you ensure that you select the correct cartridge for your machine, see specification for more details. If in doubt please contact us.

Description

The free swinging rotor cartridge is a true workhorse and is our main recommendation for scarifying your lawn. The 30 blades are offset across 3 rods, leaving a 10mm gap between rows to ensure excellent coverage across the grass.

The fish tailed design of the blades help hook out thatch and moss whilst the hardened steel metal specification ensures the blades will last a significant time even as they wear.

What is the free swinging blade cartridge used for?

The CAMON free swinging blade cartridge is designed for removing thatch and moss from your lawn. The shape of the blade is designed to hook the unwanted thatch from your lawn and allow more water, nutrients and air to the healthy grass and roots.

How do you use the free swinging blade cartridge?

This cartridge is used above the soil surface and through the layer of thatch (dead grass) that accumulates between the healthy green grass and the soil. This rotor is not designed to be used into the soil but can be used on lawns that have not been scarified before and have a dense thatch layer.

When do you use the free swinging blade cartridge?

The best time to scarify your lawn is in the Autumn or early spring and can be an part of a lawncare routine that includes aerating, fertilising and overseeding.
