The Caravaggi BT-290 is a professional bio-shredder that combines exceptional performance with a remarkably compact design. With a maximum width of just 760 mm, it is ideally suited to applications where manoeuvrability and access are essential.

Despite its compact footprint, the BT-290 delivers impressive processing capacity. Its 290 mm-wide feeding opening can accommodate material up to 140 mm in diameter, making it capable of handling a wide range of demanding shredding applications.

Maintenance is also designed with efficiency in mind. The top-opening shredding chamber provides quick and easy access to the rotor, helping to minimise maintenance time and keep the machine operating at peak performance.

For effortless movement around the working area, the BT-290 is equipped with a hydraulic self-propelled system. It also comes standard with:

- Electronic NO-STRESS control system
- 3-speed feed roller system
- Tactile controls for changing the feed rotation direction

At the heart of the BT-290 is its versatile mixed cutting system, combining 6 blades and 30 hammers. This configuration makes the machine highly effective when processing both green waste and fibrous materials such as palm.

For applications involving specific material types, the machine can also be configured to operate exclusively with its 30 floating hammers, providing additional flexibility to match the shredding system to the material being processed.

Heavy Duty Shredding Blades

The 15mm thick shredding blades pulverise awkward green waste into small chips that can be used for composting or to significantly reduce the size of your waste.

Easy Access to the Rotor Drum

In under 5 minutes you can rotate the body of the machine forward to gain access to the main rotor chamber. This is very useful for routine maintenance and changing blades and hammers.

External Grease Points

It is easy to keep on top of the regular greasing points, as they are all connected remotely to a single pick up plate.

Hydraulic Roller and Electronic No Stress System

To ensure the rotor maintains a high shredding speed an infeed roller, connected to a no stress device ensures the machine is able to control its output and maintain performance.

Reversible In Feed Roller

If required the in feed roller can be reversed with the push of the yellow button. This is a useful feature when wood is bent or twisted.

Adjustable Roller Speeds

By changing the speed of the roller, it is possible to alter the size of chippings the BT 290 will produce. You may want larger chips for mulch or smaller chips for composting.
