The BCS 780HY hydrostatic flail is an excellent combination of power unit and implement, as the continously variable drive allows the operator to work at their ideal speed for cutting dense vegatation and overgrown areas. The flail itself features an overlapping blade pattern so that nothing is missed and its efficient discharge method ensures that the flail never becomes clogged. We would recommend this machine for contractors and landscapers who need to rely on a machine to cut the most overgrown of areas.

The BCS 780HY is also fitted with a locking differential and steering brakes for complete operator control, whilst large 5.00 x 10 wheels give you the traction you need whether you are on wet mud or icy pavements.

    Description

The hydrostatic drive of BCS 780HY offers the user the ability to control their ground speed precisley without the need to engage the clutch. This has several benefits for the operator, particularly when digging or cutting grass. Cultivating often requires a slow ground speed to enable to digging knives time to cut into the ground. The variable speed allows you to choose the best speed for the ground conditions in this case. When grass cutting, you are often travelling at different speeds depending on the density of vegetation and often you will be going into forward and reverse in tight spaces. The hydrostatic control in this application allows you to change speed and direction without engaging the clutch which means that the cutting head never slows down. For flail mowers and rough cut mowers this is a real benefit.

    Features

    Hydrostatic Drive Controls

The main feature of the BCS 780HY is the hydrostatic speed control that allows the operator to choose the precise speed they would like to travel forwards or backwards. There are no gears other than a high/low ratio, which means that the clutch is no longer required to be engaged when controlling the speed of the machine.

    Efficient Cutting Blade Pattern

The layout of the free swinging blades is such that not a blade of grass is missed when using this machine.

    Patented Hydraulic Clutch

The patented Powersafe clutch offers unrivalled levels of performance and reliability. The disc inside the clutch are forced together using hydraulic power to provice instant torque and efficient transfer of power. Importantly this also means that the wheels and working implement stop very quickly when the operator presence lever is released.

    Top of the Range Engines

The BCS 780HY offers best in class options for both petrol and diesel engines. There is an electric start version for both engine types and our experience of using both engines over many years is that they both offer unmatched performance and reliability.

    Speed Ranges

The continously variable drive of the BCS 780HY, in both forwards and reverse makes this machine extremely operator friendly and a joy to use.

    Individual Guarding Flaps

The benefit of having individual flaps at the front and rear of the flail is that it allows vegetation into the cutting blades without obstruction and cut material to be released without blocking.
