    Description

Even the most experienced landscaping professionals will be impressed by this state-of-the-art, remote-controlled rough-cut bank mower from Bluebird Industries.

The Bluebird FM 24-70 Mower boasts an outstanding 35° climbing capability, thanks to its wide, high-grip rubber tracks powered by brushless 1200W electric drive motors. It effortlessly powers up muddy inclines without slipping and handles uneven terrain with ease. The independently controlled blade motors enable precise zero-turn manoeuvres, boosting efficiency and cutting time.

Designed for heavy-duty mowing, the FM 24-70’s 685mm cutting disc featuring two swinging blades will tackle thick, overgrown grass and dense, well-established scrub that would overwhelm a standard rotary mower. The swing-tip blade design prevents costly transmission damage by absorbing impacts from hidden obstacles.

For added safety, an automatic slope sensor halts the blades if the machine exceeds its 45° limit. The adjustable cutting height, ranging from 30mm to 120mm, along with a three-speed drive, ensures exceptional versatility.

A powerful alternative to walk-behind mowers, the FM 24-70 eliminates operator fatigue from prolonged vibration exposure and saves you from wading through bracken, brambles, and tough terrain. With a remote control range of up to 200m, you can simply find a good vantage point and let the machine do the work.

This model is powered by a robust 452cc, four-stroke OHV Loncin engine, delivering reliable performance for the most demanding tasks.

    Features

Cut on Banks up to 35 Degrees

You can safely cut vegetation up to 35 degrees; and after 45 degrees a safety device will stop the engine and blade from spinning. This is to ensure that should the machine ever topple over the blade will not continue to run.

    Free Swinging Blade Tips

The cutting blade of the FM 24-70 has free swinging tips that offer protection for blade should the mower encounter an immovable object whilst cutting dense undergrowth. This is a standard, but excellent, feature for protecting your machine.

    Powerful Petrol Engine

A 9.2kw engine provides the cutting power to the blade. This substantial engine makes light work of dense green vegetation and will cut saplings, brambles and bracken. The size of the FM 24-70 also offers assistance when mowing as it pushes over material for it to be cut by the blade.

    Brushless Motors

Two independent 1200W motors drive the tracks and are brushless to offer higher efficiency and longer lifespan with improved power delivery, compared to brushed motors.

    Remote Control Start Up

All the operations for controlling the mower are carried out by the operator using the hand held remote control box and you quickly realise how little effort is required to operate the mower. Whether you are cutting grass or dense brush, the operator input is the same and involves very little physical work.

    Variable Speed Control

The variable speed control allows the operator to precisely control the mower to suit the different densities of the vegetation.

Why Golf Courses Should Be Embracing Remote Control Mowers

Presentation matters enormously in golf. Members and visitors expect to see a well-maintained course at all times, and the appearance of boundary rough and embankment areas reflects on the club's standards just as much as the fairways themselves. Remote mowers with adjustable cutting heights — ranging from 30mm to 120mm on the FM 24-70, all controlled remotely — allow greenkeepers to dial in exactly the right finish for each area of the course without changing machines or attachments.
