The Scythe Cutter Bar is an extremely effective implement and is the perfect tool for cutting overgrown grass, wildflowers, gorse, bracken, brambles, weeds etc. The cutter bar runs on skids which can be easily adjusted to alter the cutting height from 2cm to 10cm.  The unique design of the cutting teeth ensures that the likelihood of clogging is totally eliminated.   And the cover is designed to avoid "wheel wrap". The Scythe Cutter Bar is designed to be operated with the engine just above tickover meaning that they can run all day on just one tankful of fuel!

Balancing the weight of the cutter bar with the engine is crucial to the safe and effective working of a power scythe and we use 2 different types of drive systems for petrol and diesel engines to ensure that the machine's balance is optimised.

However if a cutter bar is still too light compared to the engine the front nose may stilll be lifted off the ground. This effect can be counter balanced through the use of quick release assemlies and implement extensions and we advise you contact the sales team for more specific advice.

There are four cutting widths available to fit the BCS Two-Wheel Tractors, BCS Crusader Power Scythes, BCS Commander and Bank Commander, and the CAMON Rotavators.  The width of cutter bar depends on the size of power unit.
